  • The existing water heater must be a 30 or 40 gallon natural gas storage water heater. Propane customers are NOT eligible for this rebate.
  • Fuel substitution replacements (HPWH replacing gas storage water heater) will be inspected at random by phone, email and/or in person by the program and/or the Participating California Utilities and/or the CPUC. See Terms & Conditions for details.
